Sister Nova Aggra

Founding Mother Nova Aggra
Picture
Sister Nova Aggra, Lady of the Fabricated Phallus became a fully professed Sister in Eureka, Abbey of the Big Red Wood August 7, 2010. Starting July 15, 2007, Nova was Eureka's first Guard and the only one of three recruits from the first “Open House” to finally become a Black Veil. It was in 2009, Nova found her calling to be much more than a protector and gatherer of nuns; she began her transition to Sister from guard in the summer, a year before becoming a Fully Professed Member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Vowing to fulfill the mission of Promulgating Universal Joy and Expiating Stigmatic Guilt, Nova got involved in such causes as AIDS awareness and safer-sex education as well as gender identity and LGBTQ rights and acceptance issues. When she moved to Indiana in 2012 to help care for her personal family, she continued in her Sisterhood, manifesting at multiple Pride events doing condom ministry and bringing visibility to The Sisters throughout the state of Indiana. In the process of looking for members to help start an order, Nova found and grew much support through her followers on social media.
The very same summer Nova moved to Indiana, Novice Sister Purrr Do dropped into the local LGBTQ community center, Pride Lafayette, where she met Max Fairbee from Humboldt county. Not only did they discover they had a friend in common (Jessica Pettitt) but they also learned they shared a militant-like passion for queer activism. About a year and a half later... In May 2014, Sister Purrr Do and Sister Nova Aggra began meeting officially to start planning the creation of an organized house of Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in Indiana. In July 2016, Sister Nova Aggra returned to California to promulgate JOY and bring ICS traditions to the west coast.
